《Redis开发与运维》这本书自2017年出版以来在豆瓣上评分一直不错，直到现在仍有8.9分。但是追溯这本书的写作渊源，作者付磊（系统运营部）却有种“逼上梁山”的感觉。
彼时作为一个刚毕业两个月的职场新人，付磊在搜狐视频一个负责Redis开发的四人团队里做一些“打杂”的工作，更多的去提供一些简单、基础的支持。谁曾想，不久团队有两个人离职，付磊就在这种情况下“临危受命”开始独立负责，撑起所有。甫一开始，等待他的便是各种尴尬和问题，“因为你做的是一个平台、基础的组件，所以好多人会找你问问题，但是好多问题我都不会，是真的不会。”付磊强调了两遍“不会”，而从“不会”到“会”的转化，他做了很多努力：请教领导同事、自己查阅资料书籍等等。在解决问题中，付磊的很多问题也都迎刃而解，当然这个过程也着实折磨人。作为过来人，他知道受到这种“折磨”的人一定大有人在，如何能够让更多人在遇到这些同样的问题时可以叩问有门远比当下把个别人的问题解决了更有意义。
付磊开始了经验的沉淀与总结，在博客上发表了一系列的文章，这之后有些文章被几个技术相关的公众号转发，曝光量在原有的基础上进一步扩大。机械工业出版社的编辑看到后联系了付磊，一个程序员就这样走上了写作出书的道路。
网上流传的段子说，程序员不是在写代码就是在加班写代码，时间之于他们，只恨一天没有48个小时。写代码的付磊要写书出版，写书的时间要从写代码之外的时间里挤。“中午一般吃饭后写一小时，早上上班之前写一小时，晚上一般会写两个小时。等到周末会再专门预留出一天时间来。”《Redis开发与运维》在时间的沙漏里，垒于点滴，聚沙成塔，终于在一年后成功出版。

豆瓣书评里一个网友这样评价道：“既讲使用也讲原理，使用上说的详细，原理上讲的透彻。而且，本书的一大优点就是，无论谈操作使用还是讲解实现原理都结合实际场景，很接地气。写作语言也平实清楚，堪称国内技术书的模范”。为了与读者之间加强沟通交流，一个2000多人的QQ群建立了起来。大家因为Redis而聚集，在这其中互相讨论也解决着彼此的疑问。
今年三月份，一个名为“Redis开发运维实战”的微信公众号创立，付磊是公众号的拥有者，负责内容的创作与运营。这个公众号收获了6000多个关注者，在分享与交流中，围绕着Redis把付磊和众多“网友”联系起来。当大家知道付磊还有一个身份，“快手员工”时，这种交流也带来了人才引进的意外收获，比如当年的读者成为了现在团队里的同事，彼此之间以共同的身份勾画着交集。
代码与文字，不同维度下的书写，都在创造和改变着世界。集文成册，技术难题通过书籍记录、传播、百家争鸣。然而无论是代码还是文字，都是付磊的妙笔生花。
