API and service lifecycle management platform Kong announced that it has acquired the open source REST client provider Insomnia .
With this acquisition, Kong expressed the hope to expand its portfolio of open source technologies, and further develop its new Kong Studio (an integrated service design and Collaboration Suite). Kong Studio provides tools to help developers design, build and maintain the GraphQL end of REST API. It also allows the user to edit the specification file, use Mockbin generate analog endpoints, and publish directly to Kong Gateway, Registry and Developer Portal.
Insomnia's Insomnia is a REST API client cross-platform, based on Electron build.
