The software has an official PPA , it includes Ubuntu 16.04, Ubuntu 18.04 is the latest package.
1. Search and open the "Terminal" from the application menu. When opened, the run command to add PPA:

You can run the command in the terminal to clear Mixxx PPA, it will be downgraded to the stock version of the Ubuntu software repository.
