Chart font legibility of the basic rules
1: In general, for ease of reading, line spacing, font should be greater than two lbs. For example, selected from 10-point 12-point font taken spacing (pixel = one lbs)
2: Do not set the font too small or too tight
3: Whether serif or sans serif, font style need to maintain simplicity. Only use bold or italic to emphasize a point in time. Can not use the bold and italic (serif is the letter or the starting end of the stroke modification increases)
4: Do not all caps, it is not easy to read. Like handwriting like to use uppercase and lowercase letters
5: Avoid using black and white or color negative
6: Avoid using hyphenated
7: Do not use too stylized font
8: Do not set the font for a tilt angle

Charts typography
In the chart, typography should not be the focus, it is the data center. The font is used to chart a clear description of the chart, rather than fashion magazines or political posters that used to stimulate some kind of emotion.
So by all means avoid the use of font styles to beautify impulse chart. Reasonable typography helps the most effective and direct presentation of information.
