From the customer scenarios, file applications market is divided into corporate OA, class HPC, mobile social networking category 3. Customers of different scenarios, performance, capacity requirements are different file systems:

  • OA enterprise class customers: mainly small file read and write, requiring high IOPS, low latency, TB-level capacity; usually need to provide snapshots, replication, and other enterprise features 
  • Media information, HPC class of customers: mainly large file read and write, some scenes involving small random read IO, require high bandwidth, PB-class capacity 
  • Mobile social class of customers: the majority of small files, without modification write, requiring high IOPS, PB-level capacity; most of the scenes there is a demand long-term archival storage of data
