After configuring the vscode plug-in and selecting the browser, the following pop-up window pops up when running. It prompts "Windows cannot find the file chrome.exe'. Please make sure the file name is correct and try again."

 

 

Solution

 

 1. Enter regefi after win+R to open the registry.

 

 2. Create a new item under the directory Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths and name it chrome.exe. Fill in the file path in the data part . After filling in, no error will be reported. If you don’t know how to find the path, see the next step.

 

 3. Right-click the Google Chrome icon on the desktop and click Properties. The target column is the path.
