CIteSpace analysis preparation

Create a new folder in the appropriate location and name it freely

Create four subfolders in the newly created folder, named data, input, output, and project.

CiteSpace keyword map cluster analysis

Taking CNKI as an example, enter CNKI

 Retrieve topics/authors/keywords/content that need to be analyzed and set filtering conditions

Select relevant papers to be analyzed

After selecting all, select Export and Analysis-Export Document-Rwfworks

Click Export

Get txt file

 

Save the txt file to the newly created input folder and rename it to download_xx

Due to CiteSpace restrictions, the file name here must be "download_xx"

 

Start CiteSpace

 There will be a brief command line black box during software initialization, please wait patiently.

This command line cannot be closed while Citespace is running. 

Enter the CiteSpace welcome interface

 

 Click Agree at the bottom of the interface to enter the operation interface

 Web of Science Section: Project Operation

Time Slicing Section: Time Selection

Text Processing Section: Text Processing

Node Types Section: Function Configuration

Select Data——Import/Export from the menu bar above

 

After entering the Data interface, select the corresponding data source.

 

The previous data comes from CNKI, so CNKI is chosen here. 

Select the corresponding directory according to the previously created input/output folder.

Kewwords select Use Chinese and click CNKI Format Conversion (3.0)

You can see the converted txt file in the output folder, with the suffix converted

Copy the converted txt file and paste it into the data folder

Then return to the CiteSpace main interface

 Click New on the Web of Science interface to create a new project

 

Customize the title and select the corresponding directory according to the previously created project/data folder.

Select CNKI as the data source and Chinese as the preferred language. 

After completing the project settings, click Save at the bottom

Check project information

Select the time period for analysis

Set up analysis functions

Click GO! Start analysis

After getting the analysis results, select Visualize to visualize the analysis results.

Enter the visualization interface, select cluster display as the display mode, and adjust the visualization parameters to obtain the required visualization results.
