DotImage supports a variety of formats, including TIFF, PDF, DICOM, JPEG2000, JBIG2, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. You can edit, insert, reorder, delete, and rotate pages, as well as clean up documents using binarization, deskew, and despeckling. DotImage includes touch support and adaptive zoom for mobile viewing, and you can upload files using drag-and-drop or selection. Includes a thumbnail viewer to easily view and rearrange pages.
PDF support
DotImage can convert images from supported formats to PDF. With our PDF reader plugin you can view, edit, easily convert PDFs to other image formats, and merge or separate PDFs. There is also support for reading or writing PDF metadata or bookmarks, viewing and annotating PDFs, filling out PDF forms in the browser, and encrypting PDFs that require PDF/A and a password. Add OCR to create searchable PDFs.
Annotation
View, burn and edit annotated images. DotImage also allows you to highlight key information and supports freehand drawings, text boxes, sticky notes, rubber stamps, lines, lines, ovals, rectangles and polygons. DotImage includes support for annotating multi-page TIFFs and the ability to view and author PDF annotations. Print annotated images as they appear in the document (Winforms only)
Format Conversion
Read or write a variety of formats, including TIFF, PNG, and JPEG. Convert from DICOM, DWG, or DXF and from or to .NET bitmap classes. Using the PDF Reader plug-in you can convert PDF to PDF, or using the Office plug-in you can read and convert Word, Excel and PowerPoint to other supported formats. Conversions can be individual or batched.
Image processing
DotImage includes image processing for downstream processes such as OCR. Functions include crop, rotate, flip, resize or resample. Also included is image cleanup, including complex overlays, noise addition and reduction, as well as color management and automatic leveling. Additional image cleanup includes deskewing, speckle removal, and border/line/hole punch removal.
Multi-page documents
Supports reordering, deleting, adding, replacing and combining pages of TIFF and PDF. View, edit, and write multi-page documents, merge multiple documents, delete blank or edit pages, and split or merge multi-page documents into new documents. For PDF support, the PDF Reader plug-in is required.
Desktop viewing
DotImage includes .NET desktop viewing and image processing. Includes drag and drop, page reordering, anti-aliasing and customizable thumbnail sizes. .NET Winforms viewing controls are available with or without annotation support. DotImage provides multiple viewer controls and thumbnail viewers that can be combined. Also included is optical mark recognition (scoring of a wide selection of paper forms).
