A treemap
is a way to visualize hierarchical data in the form of rectangles whose area is proportional to the value of the displayed record. Inside the rectangle of the parent record are the nested rectangles of the child records. This tree diagram is suitable for comparing multiple hierarchies at the same time.

A bubble chart
is a method of visualizing hierarchical data in the form of circles whose area is proportional to the value of the displayed record. A child record's circle can be nested within a parent record's circle. The arrangement of circles is formed by using a packer based on Grokker's algorithm, modified to better display hierarchical data. Bubble charts are useful for comparing multiple hierarchies that are at the same hierarchy level at the same time.

sunmap
is a sunlike map with branched rays. The circle in the center is the root node, and the rays moving outward are the child nodes. Each value on the graph occupies an area whose boundaries are defined by the start angle and sweep angle. The larger the value to be displayed on the graph, the larger the scan angle. This diagram applies to each level of the analysis hierarchy.

Icicle charts
present data based on a hierarchical clustering method. Icicle charts are easier to read, showing which hierarchical objects belong to which objects and which are children.
