Dev Home is an open source developer tool launched by Microsoft at the Build 2023 conference to help developers unleash productivity on Windows 11.
According to reports, Dev Home is a control center that can track all workflows and coding tasks in one place. It features a simplified setup tool that makes it easy for developers to install apps and packages in a centralized location, automates deployment of development environments, extensions allow connecting to developer accounts such as GitHub, and comes with a variety of developer-focused widgets Customizable dashboards provide developers with information at their fingertips.
Dev Home can also help developers manage any type of project they are working on, such as Windows, cloud, web, mobile app development or AI - providing all the information they need in one customizable dashboard.
Developers can enhance the Dev Home experience by adding a GitHub widget to efficiently track all coding tasks or pull requests and projects from a central location, and a system widget to track CPU and GPU performance.
