Using SOLIDWORKS configuration can represent different product states in the same file, which is very useful in some cases. When we want to delete multiple configurations, we need to open the models one by one and select the deleted configuration to delete, which is quite troublesome.
The SOLIDWORKS configuration modification plug-in-Solidkits.BOMs tool can delete configurations in batches. For example, if you only want to keep the default configuration in a model, you can add the model to the software, select the configuration modification, and click Execute.
Of course, the prerequisite for batch operations is that the names of the configurations you want to retain are the same. For example, all files must retain the default configuration, so that batch operations can be achieved. If part 1 wants to retain configuration A, delete other configurations, and part 2 must retain Configuration B and part 3 should retain configuration C, so it is not suitable to use the SOLIDWORKS configuration modification plug-in for batch deletion operations.
The Solidkits.BOMs tool can also modify the configuration name and delete the specified configuration. Of course, if you want to complete it in batches, you also need to ensure that the configuration names are consistent.
