In our daily work, we often encounter the problem of migrating virtual machines from the stand-alone version of VMware Workstatrion to the Esxi platform. Here are 2 methods for your reference:
method one:
Open the esxi storage file browser, directly upload the storage directory of the virtual machine in VMware workstation (first modify the virtual machine hardware compatibility version to VM8.0) to the esxi storage, and then open the vmx configuration file.
Method 2:
Select the virtual machine that needs to be migrated, select "File" on the menu bar in VMware workstation, select "Export as ovf virtual machine template", export the virtual machine as an ovf or ova virtual machine template, and then select deployment in esxi Just use the ovf template.
