1. Ubuntu server download
Open the ubuntu official website: Enterprise open source and Linux | Ubuntu
click to download.
Scroll down and click on Ubuntu Server Edition.
Click to download ubuntu server22.04.2LTS.
Enter the following interface and wait a while for it to download automatically. If not, click to download manually.
2. Establishment of ubuntu server virtual machine in pve system
First, you need to upload the image you just downloaded to the pve system, enter local (if you have not deleted local-lvm, go to local-lvm), and click on the iso image.
Click Upload and select the ubuntu server iso image you just downloaded.
After uploading, click on the upper right corner to create a virtual machine and fill in the id (generally you can leave it blank) and name.
The operating system selects the iso image just uploaded.
Just select the system default.
Fill in the disk according to your actual needs. I gave 50g here.
The CPU core is also filled in according to your own needs. Mine is a 4-core CPU, so here I choose slot 1 and core 4.
The memory is also filled in according to your own needs. I gave 4g here.
Just choose paravirtualization for the network.
Confirm the message and it will be created.
3. Ubuntu server installation
There is no need to change the boot sequence of this virtual machine, just click Start. After starting, click on the console, exit the interface below, the first option, enter and enter.
Select English as the language (of course you can choose another one). Enter.
Keyboard layout, default is enough, press Enter.
Select the installation type, the first one is fine, just press Enter.
For network configuration, just press Enter.
Configure the proxy service. If it is not available, leave it blank and just press Enter. If it is, you can press the key to modify it and fill it in.
It is recommended to change the address of the software source to Alibaba Cloud's mirror source ( ubuntu installation package download_open source mirror station-Alibaba Cloud ), or other mirror sources.
Disk partition settings, the default is enough, select done and press Enter.
Preview the partition to check the partition status. If there is no problem, press Enter to continue.
Select continue and press Enter.
Create user configuration. After filling in your own information, select done and press Enter.
Let you upgrade to ubuntu pro according to your personal needs. The default is not to upgrade, just continue and press Enter.
Whether to install ssh, press Enter to select installation, select done and press Enter.
For the list of other functional software, there is no need to select, just move to the bottom, done, and press Enter.
The system starts to install.
After the installation is complete, select reboot now to restart.
After restarting, you can see that the IP address is displayed, and you can use it via ssh.
