WINDOW -- After reinstalling the system, I encountered "Select operating system" during startup.

question:

After installing the system on a newly purchased hard disk using GUID mode, I found that a "Select Operating System" page was entered during startup.

reason:

Because I was reinstalling the desktop computer and the original old hard drive was not removed. After plugging in the new hard drive, the computer had two hard drives. When it was turned on, it recognized that there were two systems, so the above situation occurred. The same thing happened after unplugging the old hard drive, so it was very strange. It may be because in the partitioning method of the new hard disk, the boot partition records this dual system information.

solve:

        win+R, enter the "Run" page

Enter MSConfig and click Enter to enter startup settings.

Click "Boot" and you will see that there are two boot disks. Delete the redundant one.

After the modification is completed, click "Apply" to complete the modification.

Restart the computer and find that "Select Operating System" no longer appears. The problem is solved.
