Large models usher in the AI native era. The relationship between cloud and AI is getting closer, and the integration of "cloud and intelligence" is accelerating and fully rolled out. Providing AI services through the cloud and obtaining AI services through the cloud have become the consensus of industry manufacturers and users.
The industry is paying more and more attention to intelligent cloud and investing more and more resources. The intelligent cloud will provide users with model training and inference acceleration, support the upgrade of AI native application architecture, and integrate AI capabilities such as large models into cloud products to provide users with an intelligent experience.
In the AI native era, the level of intelligence has a profound impact on every user and every manufacturer. Every company hopes to easily obtain AI services to solve business problems, and even use large models to reconstruct existing businesses and gain market competitiveness to lead industry development. Every cloud service provider hopes to provide users with easily accessible AI services, make intelligence within reach, and improve product competitiveness by integrating AI capabilities into products.
At present, the construction of intelligent cloud is in a stage of rapid development. The industry has not reached a consensus on what kind of smart cloud users need, how cloud vendors should build smart clouds, and how the industry can create a positive ecological relationship. In particular, large models are in the ascendant. Compared with traditional AI-based intelligent clouds, new service types such as MaaS have set higher standards for the development of intelligent clouds.
The existence of these problems is not conducive to customers' convenient access to AI services and promotion of their own intelligent upgrades. They will ultimately affect the long-term development of intelligent clouds and delay the arrival of inclusive AI.
All participants in the smart cloud will unite to establish a standard ecosystem, focus on industry development and market demand, study smart cloud construction methods, formulate corresponding evaluation standards, and promote the implementation of standardization. Ultimately, through the power of industry co-construction, the continuous progress of the intelligent cloud industry will be achieved.

On June 30, 2022, the Cloud Computing Standards Working Group of the National Beacon Committee announced the establishment of an intelligent cloud special group. Baidu Intelligent Cloud serves as the team leader, uniting all parties in the industry to jointly create an intelligent cloud standard ecosystem, promote the rapid development of the intelligent cloud industry, and accelerate the arrival of inclusive AI. Up to now, based on the needs of intelligent cloud in different development periods, the task force has released a series of standardization results:
In order to promote the industry to create a cloud suitable for running AI and build a leading AI IaaS, the group standard COSCL 0009-2022 "Information Technology Cloud Computing Intelligent Cloud Infrastructure Capability Requirements" was released;
In order to promote the "integration of cloud and intelligence" to support the digital transformation and intelligent upgrading of the industry, we applied for the establishment of the national standard "General Requirements for Information Technology Cloud Computing Intelligent Cloud Services";
In order to meet the efficiency and cost needs of the large model era, the pre-research standard "Information Technology Cloud Computing Intelligent Cloud Service Performance Test Method" was launched;
In order to meet the development trend of intelligent cloud and promote the industry to build AI native applications with excellent user experience, the group standard COSCL 0015-2023 "Information Technology Cloud Computing Intelligent Cloud Service User Experience Measurement Model" was released.
Moreover, with reference to the above standards, solutions launched by Baidu Smart Cloud and other manufacturers have passed the evaluation of smart cloud related standards. At the same time, users in local government, finance, energy, automobile and other industries use the intelligent cloud series standards as the basis for product selection and project design acceptance.

Baidu Smart Cloud leads the construction of smart cloud standard ecosystem
On September 13, 2023, China Electronics Technology Standardization Institute held the 12th Cloud Computing Standards and Application Conference in Beijing. Song Fei, co-chairman of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Product Committee, was invited to attend the conference and gave a speech at the main forum titled "Intelligent Computing Infrastructure in the Era of Large Models", sharing the new industry trend that large models will change the design paradigm of intelligent computing infrastructure. Du Hai, general manager of Baidu Intelligent Cloud Edge Computing, was invited to attend the conference and gave a speech titled "Edge Computing Infrastructure in the AI Era" at the Intelligent Edge Sub-Forum, sharing the latest progress of Baidu's edge computing, making intelligent computing ubiquitous.
Baidu Smart Cloud's leading standard COSCL 0015-2023 "Information Technology Cloud Computing Intelligent Cloud Service User Experience Measurement Model" was released at the conference.

The Cloud Computing Standards Working Group of the National Beacon Committee issued honorary certificates to outstanding thematic group leader units and outstanding member units. Relying on its outstanding contributions to intelligent cloud standardization work, Baidu Intelligent Cloud was awarded the title of "Excellent Thematic Group Leader Unit for Cloud Computing Standardization" and "Excellent Member Unit for Cloud Computing Standardization".
