For seven years, starting in 2017, I embarked on a journey full of openness and exploration. It was that year that I participated in the Second China Open Source Annual Conference for the first time, and this connection has now become a rich memory palace in my heart.

When I first entered the Open Source Annual Conference, I was the novice who was at a loss. Every time I edited an article, I would always struggle with it. I was frightened and had no idea where to start. However, as the years passed by the annual meeting, I also quietly changed. The annual meeting became a source of skills for me, from the carving of copywriting, to the creativity of design, to the editing of videos, step by step, I bathed in the ocean of new media operation skills, and gradually polished myself into a brick in the community. The annual meeting provides me with a platform to link external forces. From 0 to 1, the establishment of community cooperation gathers China's open source communities to speak out for open source, explore open source technology, and build cooperation bridges for more open source communities to form 1+ 1 is greater than 2 in power.
In 2022, due to family reasons, I came to Singapore and began to adapt to a new life. In 2023, I reintegrated into the open source community, co-founded the KCC Singapore station with everyone, and successfully held the first offline exchange event. Since the establishment of the site, we have cooperated for more than 10 times, and together we have written a new open source chapter for Kaiyuan Society.Singapore. Singapore has once again become a new starting point for me.

As time goes by, I have transformed from a taciturn young man into a cheerful self. A confident smile blooms from the heart. I am no longer afraid of expressing myself or facing new challenges. On the stage of the annual meeting, I went from being unconfident to being calm now. Just like open source, I have gone through constant iterations and improvements, and I am finally able to face it calmly.

Perhaps what I'm most proud of is my keen eye for technology. I used to feel overwhelmed when reading technical articles, but now I can understand some more profound technical articles and gain insight into the depth of the subject. This change is like a gorgeous turn, allowing me to have richer exploration and experience in the world of open source.
Not only that, I have gradually grown into a qualified preacher and teacher in these seven years. From a novice to a senior who can teach copywriting, video, design, community cooperation, event hosting, open source community management and other skills, I feel the weight of responsibility and the satisfaction of helping others grow. This is not only my growth, but also my contribution to open source, witnessing the vigorous development of open source in China. I never tire of doing the legacy of open source.
Time flies by my fingertips. During these seven years, I have witnessed the history of the Open Source Annual Conference in China.
From the initial 5 topic forums in 2017 to the current 16+ topic forums, the number of participants exceeds millions, and great changes have taken place in lecturers, topics, communities, media, volunteers, schools, etc. This is a history of the development of open source, written with our joint efforts and struggles.
However, these seven years are more about my friendship. On this open stage, I met a group of like-minded friends. We supported and encouraged each other and moved forward together. These innocent and deep friendships are the most beautiful companionship in my life and the inexhaustible motivation for me to move forward.

Shu Min, as well as many friends, entered the world of open source because of the Open Source Society. Starting from a volunteer who was ignorant about open source, he has been able to lead the open source contribution work on his own a few years later. This is the charm of open source. The community will also give back to members who continue to invest, helping everyone change from novices to veterans, making the community more There is power.
Someone first asked me, why do you want to start an open source society? Can you make money? Will contributing to open source get me a good job? In fact, we long-term contributors can also get feedback from our contributions. As Shu Min's article explains, we are full of rewards. However, this is not a transaction, but self-improvement and self-realization in the community, and the members of the community also We can see each other's value and get more opportunities.
To participate in the China Open Source Annual Conference, if you can share as a lecturer, you are of course very welcome. You don’t need to worry about sharing well enough. As long as you continue to share on various occasions, you will definitely make progress; if you can volunteer as an Open Source Society Congratulations to you for your participation in open source contributions. In fact, the Open Source Society not only has conferences, but also has many projects that welcome your exploration and participation; if you can devote two days this weekend as a participant, Understanding open source and experiencing open source people and communities will also give you an opportunity to get started. Perhaps many years later, like Shu Min, you will recall that memorable starting point.
--- Richard Lvqiang Lin, co-founder of Kaiyuanshe
What impressed me most was when I was chatting with Shu Min outside Jingronghui in Chengdu in 2019. We talked about Open Source Society, COSCon, and what can be done for open source in China. We were all chatting very excitedly, and Shu Min’s eyes were even brighter. This is the feeling: after confirming the eyes, you must be one of our kindred spirits.
I love the community, the feeling of being in the community, and gatherings with friends. I even invest a lot of time and energy in organizing gatherings one after another. Although it is inevitable that I will feel "exhausted", I still enjoy it. This is true for KCC’s Meetups one after another, and this is even more true for the annual COSCon. This is a big gathering of open source people, old friends and new friends. We look forward to meeting old friends again and making more new friends. In particular, I hope that these new friends will fall in love with the community, fall in love with open source, and fall in love with the "feeling of going home."
--- Director and CEO of Kaiyuanshe Zhuang Biaowei
Recently, I re-read the reasons for the nomination of Shu Min as the "COSCon Star" jointly by many directors of the Kaiyuan Society in 2021. My appreciation for Shu Min's talent and the touch of her selfless dedication can't help but come to mind again. I wrote back then: " If Shu Min has any shortcomings, yes, her shortcoming is that she doesn't know the limits of her potential. I hope she can continue to explore, realize herself, and enjoy life. "
In March this year, I went to Singapore to attend the FOSSASIA Summit and met Shu Min again. Through several interactions where we discussed the establishment of KCC@Singapore, I felt more directly her growth, love for life, and continuous pursuit of self-realization. , and more powerful execution capabilities. Therefore, KCC@Singapore has held multiple events in just a few months with fruitful results. We look forward to more outstanding friends from Singapore who love open source starting this year, and under the leadership of Shu Min, they will form a group to participate in the wonderful COSCon'23.
--- Ted Liu Tiandong, co-founder of Kaiyuanshe
No matter how tiring the work is or how busy the family is, when Shu Min takes on a task, we know that things will be reliable. The great success of this year's COSCon'21 community cooperation (78 communities), the implementation of the rights and interests of sponsoring partners (14), the publicity of media partners (7), the contact with live broadcast partners (9), and the organization of the conference agenda Arrangements and announcements, all kinds of wonderful arrangements at the Chengdu branch venue, all have Shu Min's silent dedication. Shu Min is capable of everything from planning to leadership to realizing class 18 martial arts skills.
Shocked? It’s hard to imagine that one person can be so versatile and versatile. In the first two years, due to taking care of her family, Shu Min faded away a little bit, but she was able to adjust quickly and start again. In the past, Shu Min was also very good as the leader of the media team. I hope she can continue to participate in the development of the media team. Community cooperation + media brand will join forces with Ultraman!
If Shu Min has any shortcomings, yes, her shortcoming is that she doesn't know the limit of her potential, and she hopes that she can continue to explore, realize herself, and enjoy life.
Shu Min is a long-term core contributor to Kaiyuan Society. He has built a basic working system and partner network for today's community cooperation of Kaiyuan Society, including the annual meeting, and continues to explore various innovative practices. This year's annual meeting was even more intense. , the number of community partners at the annual meeting reached a record high, and she frequently made moves in various cooperation methods, transforming into a powerful "Ultraman" just like her avatar.
It is difficult to summarize this person because she is so strong and she is worthy of being the number one sister in our Kaiyuan Community!
--- A number of directors of Kaiyuan Society jointly nominated Shu Min as a recommendation for "Yuanyuan Society. 2021. Open Source Star"
Sister Shu Min is a very capable, very nice, and very thoughtful sister. She is also a "doer" and full of energy. Of course, he is also a very patient teacher. Under Sister Shu's leadership, I also gained a lot of skills and operational ideas. "Ask questions from your own point of view, and you will make progress every day." Sister Shu’s words made me constantly discover and solve problems. Not only are we mentors and work partners, we are also friends.
Sister Shu is committed to the establishment of the KCC Singapore site and subsequent management and promotion, and explores various innovative practices. There is also the host of the wonderful "Open Source Story" column. He must be able to do so many meaningful things because of his love. Sister Shu has also been encouraging and looking for more friends to join!
In short, it is very worthwhile to come to Kaiyuan Club. I have met many outstanding seniors and interesting friends. I was also deeply attracted by the open, inclusive and diverse atmosphere. The annual open source conference is very exciting every year, and the experience is full of novelty and fun. Friends who are interested in open source are welcome to join, you will definitely get unexpected surprises.
--- Luo Ruiyan (Xiao Rui) from the open source social media group
The Open Source Annual Meeting is a feast for open source people, and it is also the result of the joint efforts of open source contributors. Shu Min is an important contributor. There are three key words in Shu Min: enthusiasm, learning and courage. It is because of enthusiasm that from 0 to 1 established a community cooperation group, allowing hundreds of open source community leaders to gather together and feel the warmth. Because of learning, I have continued to grow. From new media, to operations, to event organization, to leading teams, I have experienced every aspect of community operations. Because of my bravery, I have gone from cross-professional to cross-field, from cross-city to cross-international. As the founder of KCC Singapore, I have brought the influence of Kaiyuan Society to the world. Where there is Shumin, there is Kaiyuanshe.
--- Fan Jingjing, founder of Datawhale
I first met Sister Shu Min at wuhan2020. Later, it was Sister Shu Min who invited me to join the Open Source Society and led me to learn about, contact and contribute to open source. I also met many great partners in the Open Source Society and their interesting open source stories.
Sister Shu Min is not only a friend, a senior, but also a teacher to me. She is a great and strong guide. From the initial publicity to the current community cooperation, as well as copywriting and poster creativity, Sister Shu Min has provided guidance. You can learn a lot from following her. Sister Shu Min is really patient and caring about my work situation. It’s great to get to know Sister Shu Min!
