Windows IIS server local installation (super detailed)

Preface

If you want to install the IIS server on your computer, please first check if you can find the "Server Manager" on your computer.

If you can find it, please read the previous article Windows IIS server installation (super detailed)_iis installation_Leeway Ah Hua's blog-CSDN blog ,

If you can’t find it, read on. How to solve this situation?

There are two solutions here,

1. Install "Server Manager" on your computer.

2. Install the IIS server in another way.

Here I am mainly talking about the second solution

1. Installation steps

1. Open the control panel

Click the "Start" button on the taskbar

Search for "Control Panel" in the Start menu

Click to open and see the page below

2. Find Internet Information Services

Select "Programs" or "Programs and Features" in the Control Panel interface

Click "Turn Windows features on or off"

In the "Windows Features" window that pops up, scroll down and find "Internet Information Services" or a similar option

 3. Select installation options

Click the "+" sign to expand "Internet Information Services" and check "Web Management Tools"

(PS: You can also choose other specific IIS components or functions and check them according to your needs)

Then expand "Web Management Tools" and check the option below

Click "OK" and wait for the installation to complete.

2. Verify whether the installation is successful

Click "Start" on the taskbar and directly search for "Administrative Tools"

Click "Management Tools" to enter, find the "Internet Information Services" manager, double-click to enter the IIS management page, as shown in the figure below

Open "Default Web Site" and click on the preview shown below

Or open the browser directly and enter the path: localhost . If the Windows Server page is displayed, the installation is successful.

At this point, the Windows IIS server installation comes to an end.
