This article shares how to apply for a free HTTPS certificate on Alibaba Cloud
Preconditions:
- You have purchased a domain name on Alibaba Cloud
Step 1 For example, in the Alibaba Cloud console, select the SSL certificate
Step 2 Apply to purchase a free certificate
Choose a free SSH certificate
Click to buy now
Step 3 Create certificate
Step 3.1 Certificate application
Step 3.2 DNS domain name verification
You need to add a TXT record in DNS resolution to verify that you own the domain name.
Click the arrow in the picture above to jump to the Alibaba Cloud DNS console and add a TXT record.
In this example, select the domain name http://bestexpresser.com
Add TXT record
Copy the previous verification TXT information and fill it in.
After adding it, return to the previous SSL certificate verification page and click 验证the button
When the DNS verification is successful, the button below 提交审核lights up, click it.
Submission review completed
Step 4 Wait for the certificate review to be successful and download the certificate
When the review is successful, the certificate status is issued. At this time, you can download the SSL certificate.
There are many types of certificates to choose from. We choose nginx at this time.
The final downloaded SSL certificate file
The SSL certificate is two files:
- The file with .pem extension is the site certificate file
- The file with the .key extension is the site key file
