At the 2023 Huawei Data Storage User Elite Forum, Huawei officially announced the open source "CANTIAN" engine.
Huawei said that the "CANTIAN" engine will firmly support PG, MySQL open source community and related commercial databases, enhance the separation of storage and calculation and multi-read and multi-write capabilities, and promote the upgrade of domestic databases to multi-master architecture. Huawei will work with database industry partners to create a "distributed architecture + centralized experience" database storage solution that replaces Oracle.
