Ubuntu opens remote desktop

Ubuntu 18.04 uses the gnome desktop environment. The system comes with screen sharing and remote login functions. By default, vino is used as the VNC server.



Note: If the screen sharing is grayed out in the settings, or there is no screen sharing and remote login options. Please use the following command to manually install vino and reboot

 

 

sudo apt-get install vino

Install the graphical tool dconf-editor to make changes to the system configuration files, use the following command to install:

sudo apt-get install dconf-editor



This is to change the remote connection service to unencrypted

Finally, use the VNC-Viewer client to enter the Ubuntu IP address to connect to
