At the same time, Wang Congming decisively gave an opposing answer to the industry's view that "applications built on low-code platforms can only be used in lightweight long-tail scenarios".

The above two paragraphs imply that Qiye Cloud will be a low-code vendor that is different from the traditional perception of the industry.

And it is true. Compared with most low-code vendors targeting all walks of life, Qiye Cloud only targets industrial Internet scenarios; compared to low-code platforms, Qiye Cloud prefers to call itself a fusion code platform. The so-called fusion code refers to a collaborative and complementary development method based on the same architecture, providing no-code for business personnel and low-code for developers.

Driven by the Pain Points of Industrial Internet Construction

There is no doubt that low-code has become a popular fried chicken in the ICT field, which can be seen from the influx of capital and the participation of cloud service providers/software manufacturers.

The " 2022 China Low-Code and No-Code Market Research and Selection Evaluation Report" released by China Software Network and Haibi Research Institute shows that the scale of China's low-code and no-code market is expected to be 4.06 billion yuan in 2022 . The growth rate is 42.9% , and it is expected to reach 11.85 billion yuan in 2025 .

Since OutSystems became a unicorn in 2018 and Siemens acquired Mendix for US$700 million, low-code has become a hot topic in the industry after several years of development in China, and some phenomena have emerged:

One is that there is a clear distinction between players on the track. The entire low-code track is gradually divided into two types of players: manufacturers who provide low-code platforms for professional developers; manufacturers who provide no-code platforms for business personnel. However, it is rare to see manufacturers that provide both low-code platforms and no-code platforms. It seems to be an unwritten rule to choose between low-code and no-code platforms.

The second is that many people think that low-code platforms can only be applied to enterprise edge business scenarios, and it is difficult to support core complex systems. Especially in industrial fields with heavy assets and long processes, low-code platforms have no place to play.

In this regard, Qiyeyun has a different view. In terms of trend one, Qiye Cloud chose to be an "all-around player". "We very much agree with the vision of no-code, especially for the lack of so many professional developers in industrial scenarios. No-code empowers business personnel to realize business innovation independently. However, it is necessary to introduce the power of professional programmers through low-code to make up for no-code. The two forces are combined to participate in industrial digital innovation. We are oriented by scenario goals and problem solving, not by sticking to a certain technical concept.” Wang Congming said.

Therefore, Qiye Cloud's integrated code platform provides both no-code and low-code capabilities, both of which are based on the same architecture and interoperable at the bottom layer. Business personnel can use the no-code capability to build their own needs, and when no code can't meet the needs, they can seamlessly connect with colleagues in the development department to complete personalized innovation together.

As for Trend 2, the Qiye Yunrong code platform is built based on the industrial Internet scene. From the perspective of origin, these service providers can be roughly divided into two categories: one is cloud service giants represented by Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud; Technology companies incubated by industrial giants. It is not difficult to see that these service providers are superior to Qiye Cloud in terms of brand and scale, especially the latter, which has a deep understanding of industrial scenarios.

In this regard, Wang Congming believes that the competition Qiyeyun faces is not as fierce as imagined. "Gigants like Alibaba Cloud and Huawei Cloud are more inclined to provide low-level general-purpose technologies. They are not necessarily familiar with the know-how in the entire project practice . After winning some projects, they will actually find manufacturers like us to deliver."

However, the industrial Internet platform incubated in real enterprises tends to integrate and expand the industrial chain. In the future, Qiye Cloud will continue to improve and optimize the fusion code platform by strengthening the integration of AI and industrial scenarios, upgrading the hybrid cloud architecture, strengthening fusion code modeling and compilation efficiency, and continuing to take a differentiated development route.
