On August 12th, the 2023 Large Model Application Innovation Challenge was co-sponsored by Baidu Flying Paddle, Wenxin Large Model, Shanghai Fifty Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Institute, Shanghai Zhangjiang (Group) Co., Ltd., OpenI Qizhi Community and Datawhale The finals were held at Shanghai Baidu Flying Paddle (Zhangjiang) Artificial Intelligence Industry Empowerment Center. The purpose of the competition is to provide a comprehensive exercise platform for the cultivation of large-scale model talents, stimulate innovation vitality, lower the threshold for implementing large-scale models in various industries, and accelerate the application of large-scale models in the industry.
Baidu Flying Paddle and Wenxin Big Model are the organizers of the competition. Based on Flying Paddle, an open source deep learning platform derived from industrial practice, and Wenxin Big Model, an industrial-level knowledge-enhanced large-scale model , they provide course training, technical guidance, and platforms for contestants. Resources and other support will help participating teams broaden their innovation perspectives and better produce large-scale model application results.
This competition attracted more than 2,000 teams to sign up and submit hundreds of entries. At the final site, 13 shortlisted teams had a defense road show, and 18 outstanding teams participated in the work display. The participating teams competed in Shanghai with the industrial application results they have devoted themselves to research and development, and successfully completed the last stop of this competition.

The "City Walking Guide" work is based on the excellent historical buildings in Shanghai collected and processed by itself, and realizes personalized Citywalk route planning and recommendation around Shanghai's historical buildings; the rendering application of architectural landscape renderings by the LumionlCU team can complete from hand-painted to real effects in 5 seconds Drawing scheme rendering greatly improves the efficiency of architectural landscape design; Jidou Internet of Vehicles team provides smart tools such as AI smart question and answer, AR online recognition and structured electronic car book for car owners on the mobile and car terminals based on the knowledge of car use, to solve Car owners' car use problems in various scenarios.
In the creative track defense, the work of the CodeMonkey team from the University of Hong Kong focused on judging the compliance of architectural design schemes, using large language models to compare building information models (BIM) with relevant architectural laws, and judging whether a component of the architectural design model is compliant. In the future, the CodeMonkey team plans to cooperate with enterprises and government agencies to further expand the compliance review of architectural design; the xAGC team will use domain experts as prototypes to establish a multi-field dialogue consultation and domain with style and professional knowledge. Knowledge accumulation and inheritance system services, in the vision of the xAGC team, gathering the wisdom of a hundred schools of thought is no longer just empty talk, and experts in various fields can use the big language model to shape the network avatar.
After the defense, the sharp questions and professional opinions raised by the jury prompted the team to think deeply about the advantages and areas for improvement of the project. At the same time, the jury also put forward practical and effective feedback and suggestions to help the entrepreneurial team take more solid steps in the process of long-term development and growth.
