Speech Introduction

Google's "Site Reliability Handbook" mentioned that there is no SRE without SLO, which shows the importance of SLO. SLO-based alerts can not only liberate us from the alarm noise, but also help us gain insight into some unknown problems. Prometheus is the cloud-native preferred monitoring alarm service. It is a natural choice to use it for SLO alarms. Since SLO alarms generally adopt the MWMR strategy, the combination with Prometheus needs to consider many factors such as time window, burning rate, and alarm level. SLO corresponds to The automatic generation of Prometheus rules and the unified management of a large number of Prometheus record and alert rules have brought us great challenges.
