The technology of directly connecting mobile phones to satellites has greatly expanded the application scenarios of mobile phones, allowing smartphones to provide communication services directly through satellite signals. Recently, Ziguang Zhanrui participated in the first domestic field verification of 5G NTN (non-terrestrial network, non-terrestrial network) mobile phone direct connection satellite. The 5G NTN mobile phone is directly connected to the satellite air interface for uplink and downlink connection, and the successful intercommunication between two vivo mobile phones, as well as the business demonstration of sending and receiving text messages, the functions and performance meet expectations.

Compared with other mobile phone direct connection satellite communication technology routes, the 5G NTN technology route based on the 3GPP standard has obvious advantages in mobile phone terminal popularity, industry integration, and service richness. The Zhanrui satellite communication chip and Quectel satellite communication module realize the real-time transmission of collected sensor data, emergency messages, and terminal location data to the cloud platform through satellites, and the effect is good.
