Download and install vmware tools

I installed ubuntu 18   

Download website: http://mirrors.aliyun.com/ubuntu-releases/18.04/ Just click to download.

2. Installation

1. Click the virtual machine option in the VMware menu bar and find the option to install VMware tools.

 

2. If the option is grayed out, close the client computer, reopen the virtual machine editing setting option, and select the startup item as mirror system startup. After confirmation, open the client computer, click the VMware tools option, and you can see the VMware tools icon on the desktop as shown in the figure.

 

 3. Double-click to enter, you can see the installation package of vmware tools

 

 4. Open the terminal and execute mkdir vmtools to create a new folder. Copy it directly into the newly created vmtools directory

5. cd into the vmtools directory to decompress the compressed file,

 tar -zxvf VMwareTools-10.3.22-15902021.tar.gz

6. Enter the vmware-tools-distrib folder and install the installation package

7. Enter the command: sudo ./vmware-install.pl to start the installation. Press Enter all the time, and successfully means the installation is successful.
