GCL Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (stock code: 002015, securities abbreviation: GCL Nengke) issued an announcement yesterday, stating that the board of directors received a written resignation report from Wang Zhenhui on July 28, 2023.

Wang Zhenhui applied to resign from the position of co-president and chief executive officer (CEO) of the company due to job adjustment, and will no longer hold any position in the company after resignation.

As of the disclosure date of this announcement, Wang Zhenhui did not hold any shares in the company.

GCL Nengke said that the company's board of directors expressed its heartfelt thanks to Mr. Wang Zhenhui for his contribution to the company's development during his tenure in the company.

Wang Zhenhui joined GCL Nengke in September 2022. At that time, the board of directors of GCL Nengke agreed to appoint Fei Zhi as the company's co-president and Wang Zhenhui as the company's co-president and chief executive officer (CEO).

This means that Wang Zhenhui left the company less than a year after joining. It can also be seen that Wang Zhenhui is not acclimatized in GCL Nengke.

Wang Zhenhui has worked in Jingdong Group for many years and held many important positions. The most famous resume is as the CEO of Jingdong Logistics.

Once, Wang Zhenhui, Xu Lei, and Chen Shengqiang were known as the heads of the three major businesses of JD Group.

However, in less than 10 days in 2020, Chen Shengqiang and Wang Zhenhui both stepped down as CEOs of their respective groups. At that time, Jingdong said that Wang Zhenhui resigned due to personal reasons, and the group appointed former chief human resources officer Yu Rui to take over as CEO of Jingdong Logistics.

For Wang Zhenhui, the most regrettable thing is that after only half a year, JD Logistics was successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, and Wang Zhenhui missed such a critical moment.

Of course, 2023 is also a year of major adjustments within JD.com.

In May 2023, Jingdong Group announced that Xu Lei, CEO of Jingdong Group, filed an application for retirement due to personal reasons. After being approved by the group's board of directors, Xu Lei's application for retirement was respected and agreed.

In June 2023, JD Logistics announced that CEO Yu Rui had resigned as executive director, CEO and authorized representative due to personal health reasons, and Hu Wei, CEO of JD Industry Development, took over as CEO of JD Logistics.

That is to say, Wang Zhenhui, Xu Lei, Chen Shengqiang and other influential figures in the past have temporarily withdrawn from the stage of history. And for many middle-aged people, at a certain stage, the workplace may no longer be a straight line, but a curve.
