2. How to achieve

1) In the MSTP network, the concept of domain is introduced, which is called MST domain

2) Each MST domain contains one or more "spanning trees" called "instances"

3) Each "instance spanning tree" can be bound to vlan to realize load sharing/load balancing of vlan data flow

4) By default, all vlans belong to "instance tree 0: ie: instance 0"

5) Different "instance trees" are different "spanning trees", and each instance tree can elect a root switch

3. Working principle of MSTP

1) MSTP working process:

elect root switch

Election root port-RP

Election Designated Port-DP

Determine Alternate Port - AP

2) Determine the port status:

(Discard): Equivalent to disable, listen, block in STP, do not forward user data

Learning (learning): the same as the learning state in STP

Forwarding: the same as the forwarding state in STP

4. MSTP configuration

Create a vlan for each switch, and configure the interface connected to the switch as a trunk

Configure the STP mode as MSTP

The switch creates the correspondence between MSTP domain name, instance and vlan

Activate MSTP area configuration on the switch
