First of all, hardware-accelerated Codec has great prospects, including server-side low-latency encoding/transcoding applications, or mobile-side decoding. Secondly, regarding AI end-to-end coding, Cai Jiayang believes that it will first be implemented in a single scenario, such as video conferencing, video surveillance, desktop sharing, and so on. He even believes that an end-to-end universal Codec for AI will be difficult to achieve.
