Introduced at WWDC22, macOS Ventura makes the Mac experience better than ever.

Cupertino, Calif. Apple, led by Tim Cook, today announced macOS Ventura , the latest version of macOS, the world's leading desktop operating system, that brings the Mac experience to a whole new level. Front-end scheduling provides a new way for Mac users to seamlessly switch between various apps and windows while focusing on the work in front of them. Continuity Camera Use your iPhone as your Mac's webcam for more than ever before (sysin). Handoff is now available for FaceTime calls, allowing users to start a FaceTime call on their iPhone or iPad and seamlessly transfer it to their Mac. Both the mail app and the message app have added major functions and are more powerful. The fastest Safari browser on the Mac introduces a passkey (sysin), ushering in a password-free era. The broad availability of powerful Apple chips and new developer tools built into Metal 3 take gaming on the Mac even further.

On the 14-inch MacBook Pro, the new Foreground Scheduling feature stacks several app windows on the left side of the Safari browser window.

New features like pre-stage scheduling help users stay focused.

The iPhone 13 Pro is being used as a webcam in the new 13-inch MacBook Pro via the Continuity Camera feature.

Continuity Camera allows users to do more than ever before with a webcam.

Mail App search enhancements, new features such as scheduled sending
Messages for Mac can now edit or undo just-sent messages, mark messages as unread, and even restore accidentally deleted messages

Metal ushers in the latest version Metal 3
Live Text adds text recognition for paused video frames, as well as support for Japanese and Korean text
