At this summit, Baidu Cloud Intelligent Edge BIE (Baidu IntelliEdge) "C debuted", which attracted the attention of many guests present. Intelligent Edge BIE is the first domestic intelligent edge product released by Baidu Cloud, and it is at the forefront of the trend of "device-cloud integration". The devices and edge computing nodes deployed with intelligent edge BIE can not only exchange data seamlessly with Baidu Cloud Tiangong, filter and calculate sensitive data, but also cache data and calculate independently when there is no network or the network is unstable, so as to realize real-time feedback control.

At present, the intelligent edge BIE has been able to support algorithm models trained by mainstream AI platforms such as PaddlePaddle and TensorFlow, and is fully compatible with the function computing service launched by Baidu Cloud. The 10M-sized SDK can run independently on more than 10 mainstream systems and hardware architectures, allowing every networked terminal device to "travel lightly" and process local data in real time.

According to IDC forecasts, in this year alone, 50% of IoT networks will face network bandwidth limitations, and 40% of data will need to be analyzed, processed, and stored at the edge of the network. However, the current bandwidth is far from enough to support real-time transmission and calculation of data. As more and more offline device terminals go online, the "cloud + terminal" computing model will become the mainstream computing model in the IoT era.

At the meeting site, Baidu Cloud took the intelligent detection of coal mine water detection as an example to demonstrate the application of intelligent edge BIE in the field of coal mining. In the past, due to the harsh underground environment, workers were often unable to accurately judge whether the quality of the water in the coal mine met the conditions for going into the mine. In order to improve the construction quality of water exploration and discharge operations, Baidu Cloud cooperated with Shanxi Elite Technology to digitize the angle, stroke, speed, etc. during the operation process through intelligent capture of the water detection and discharge pole support, forming an effective quantitative evaluation mechanism for water detection and discharge operations, which greatly reduces the probability of water seepage accidents. At the same time, using the capabilities of the intelligent edge platform, Baidu Cloud deployed the model to the edge devices in the mine, and realized online inference and continuous iteration of the model through the architecture of device-cloud integration.

Baidu Cloud also showed the guests the application of intelligent edge in the field of quality inspection. The steel image data is trained on the cloud to form a "continuous casting slab defect recognition model", which is deployed to on-site equipment through the intelligent edge to replace manual steel material inspection, and the continuous iteration of the model is realized through the integration of the device and the cloud. In the field of agriculture, the equipment deployed with the flue-cured tobacco algorithm model calculates the data of the flue-cured tobacco process, guides the automatic adjustment of parameters, and effectively helps farmers increase their income.

This conference focused on the application of ABC and IoT in automotive, home and industrial production scenarios, and released a safer, smarter and more open IoT solution.

At the conference site, Baidu Cloud announced that the Hangu Wulian security system is officially invited to be tested, providing one-stop security and detection capabilities from device hardware, IoT cloud platform, to APP. In order to protect the safety of the home, Baidu Cloud and Wrigley Door Lock jointly launched the country's first smart door lock equipped with Hangu IoT security system, and also the first full-link security smart door lock. For travel safety, Baidu Cloud has reached in-depth cooperation with BAIC New Energy, NXP, PATEO, and China UnionPay in the field of intelligent connected vehicle information security, which will bring the first device-cloud integrated chip-level intelligent connected vehicle information security solution to the automotive industry.

Smarter IoT. DuHome and DuGo, which appeared at this conference, showed the guests the IoT applications behind smart life. DuHome provides one-stop service of terminal, pipe, cloud and APP for smart home devices, and relies on powerful AI capabilities and DuerOS ecology to empower the whole house smart industry chain. At the meeting site, Baidu Cloud also announced the establishment of a whole-house intelligent interconnection ecological alliance with more than 10 domestic companies such as Country Garden, Longfor Real Estate, and Qijia.com, to support the interconnection and interoperability between cross-category and cross-brand smart home devices, and expand the smart home industry ecology.

DuGo is a cloud service provided by Baidu Cloud for the Internet of Vehicles data platform. It provides concurrent access capabilities for tens of millions of vehicles, supports access to multiple protocols, and provides customers with comprehensive security protection functions from inside the car to the cloud. Based on the analysis of vehicle big data, DuGo can also provide enterprise-level customers with intelligent service solutions such as intelligent customer service, customer situation analysis, and fault prediction.

In the field of industrial production and energy, Baidu Cloud showed the guests solutions such as continuous casting slab defect identification and intelligent water detection and discharge. In cooperation with Yunzhi Huaneng, Baidu Cloud established algorithm models and equipment portraits based on the historical data of 1 billion electricity meters, greatly improving system performance.
