2017 China Internet of Things Forum Held ABC Empowering Perceived Intelligence Era

On July 13, the China Internet Conference Internet of Things Forum hosted by Baidu Cloud was officially held at the National Convention Center. Baidu Cloud and a number of well-known companies deeply interpreted the development trend of the Internet of Things and jointly discussed the development of the Internet of Things in the AI era. It became one of the main highlights of this China Internet Conference.

The China Internet Conference is hosted by the Internet Society of China. It is a well-known industry conference in the Internet industry in China. It is committed to creating a platform for mutual exchanges between the industry and academia. The Internet of Things Forum invited Gao Xinmin, Vice Chairman of Internet Society of China, Guan Ruifeng, Deputy General Manager of Baidu Cloud, Zhong Lei, Chief Architect of Baidu Duer OS Beauty Research, Hu Yu, Greater China Market Director of Honeywell Building Intelligent Systems Department, Ying Yilun, Founder and Chairman of PATEO Group, Du Xinping, President Assistant of Xianhe Environmental Protection Technology, Wang Qi, Product Director of Terminus (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., etc. to attend and give speeches.

IoT Data Drives AI Era ABC Empowers Perceived Intelligence Era

Guan Ruifeng said that industrial development has transitioned from the era of informatization and networking to the era of perceptual intelligence centered on AI and the Internet of Things. The industry's demand for intelligence relies on big data and artificial intelligence technology. The intelligent Internet of Things gives all things perception through the network, and finally forms a large amount of data in the cloud, and through intelligent application, IoT data becomes a new energy driving AI. We are entering the era of AI driven by IoT data.

Based on Baidu Cloud's ABC (AI, Big Data, Cloud Computing) trinity development strategy and leading cloud infrastructure, Baidu Cloud has launched Tiangong, Tiansuan, Tianzhi, and Tianxiang intelligent platforms. Among them, Tiangong is a platform-based product designed to focus on the Industrial Internet of Things. It integrates Baidu Cloud's ABC capabilities to help partners and customers bridge the gap from perception to intelligence.

In terms of smart buildings, the Baidu Cloud Tiangong platform enables Baidu Science and Technology Park to save 1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually through intelligent optimization based on online equipment and the environment. If it is extended to buildings across the country, it can save 15% of energy consumption a year, about 375 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.

In the field of elevators, Baidu Cloud and CANNY Elevator began to cooperate at the end of 2016. After several months of research, CANNY connected more than 6,000 elevators to the Baidu Cloud Tiangong platform. Through intelligent management such as remote monitoring and predictive maintenance, CANNY Elevator’s overall operation and maintenance costs decreased by 30%.

In addition, in the fields of logistics, intelligent transportation, and Internet of Vehicles, the Tiangong IoT platform can be deeply integrated with its own applications such as Baidu Maps.

Honeywell and PATEO discuss the Internet of Things in the AI era

Baidu Cloud empowers all walks of life through open technologies and resources, realizes data integration, and drives industrial upgrading with artificial intelligence. The guests also shared their thoughts on the cutting-edge development of their respective fields.

Under the general trend of the development of the global Internet of Things, the operation of smart buildings is also facing multiple challenges. Hu Yu, Greater China Director of Honeywell Building Intelligent Systems Department, said that in order to solve many problems such as operation and maintenance costs, property costs and high-end tenant needs, it is necessary to build an intelligent platform and create intelligent operations. Honeywell builds an ecosystem through advantageous technologies such as Baidu Cloud IoT Analysis and IoT Access, serves smart buildings, and cooperates with owners, property management and other parties for mutual benefit and symbiosis.

Ying Yilun, founder and chairman of PATEO Group, believes that the era of artificial intelligence is the era of dimensionality reduction attacks. The most important thing for natural language understanding is the training scale and massive data. For the automotive industry, the most valuable data is precisely in Baidu. Through the in-depth integration with Baidu Cloud based on the field of Internet of Vehicles, PATEO is trying to build the travel life experience of 1.4 billion people, which is far more meaningful to human society than AlphaGo.

Du Xinping, Assistant President of Xianhe Environmental Protection Technology Co., Ltd., said that by combining Baidu Cloud's ABC capabilities, it is possible to create a comprehensive smart environment solution that integrates environmental monitoring, management, and governance systems.

Wang Qi, product director of Terminus (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd., introduced the smart city brain based on IoT multi-scenario fusion. Through the Internet of Things composed of ubiquitous intelligent sensors, it can realize the comprehensive perception of the physical city, obtain information at any time and realize the integration of the Internet of Things through the data center, and truly realize the "future city" of intelligence, automation and refinement.

Artificial intelligence, big data and cloud computing are promoting the intelligent connection of all things, leveraging the trillion-level market of the Internet of Things. Taking this Internet of Things Conference as an opportunity, we look forward to more openness and cooperation among industries to welcome the arrival of the era of intelligent perception.
