1.1 Internet of Things
The Internet of Things, together with artificial intelligence, machine learning and cloud technology, has been one of the most important trends in the high-tech field in the past few years.
Since 2019, the number of global IoT device connections has maintained a strong growth trend, with more than 8.4 billion device accesses, industry penetration continues to increase, and smart city and industrial IoT application scenarios are expanding rapidly.
Relevant survey research predicts that the compound growth rate of the Internet of Things industry will be about 9% in 2019-2022; it is expected that the scale of the Chinese Internet of Things industry will exceed 2 trillion yuan by 2022; 7 billion.
For the foreseeable future, the Internet of Things will replace the mobile Internet and become the main driver of the information industry.
1.3 Scale
Scale: The scale of the global IoT industry has grown from US $ 50 billion in 2008 to only US $ 151 billion in 2018, with an average annual compound growth rate of 11.7%. As shown in Figure 1.1.
Penetration: The penetration rate of the global IoT industry reached 12% and 29% in 2013 and 2017, respectively, more than doubling. It is expected that more than 65% of enterprises and organizations will apply IoT products and solutions in 2020. In recent years, the scale of China's Internet of Things market has continued to expand, from 365 billion yuan in 2012 to 1160.5 billion yuan in 2017, with a compound annual growth rate of up to 25%, as shown in Figure 1.2.
This course "Practical Development of Internet of Things Projects" will be divided into 4 major chapters, involving Linux server cloud platform development, embedded development, networking technology, mobile APP, and actual combat projects.
