Yesterday I was very honored to participate in the Electronic Industry Press Bowen Viewpoint Professional Publishing Summit Forum. In the "Writing Improvement" sub-forum, I was invited to share on the theme of "How Engineers Improve Writing Accomplishment". There were not many students at the scene yesterday, and many of you may be interested in this topic, so I post it here for your reference.
Here, I would like to thank the Electronic Industry Press Bowen Viewpoint for its long-term help. I am very fortunate to be able to cooperate with Bowen Viewpoint. In the process of cooperation, I can often feel the professionalism, seriousness and feelings of the editor teacher. In particular, I would like to thank Mr. Teng Teng for his help. Without Mr. Teng's encouragement, there would be no "201 Principles of Software Development (Chinese Version)", "Trillion-Level Traffic Forwarding: BFE Core Technology and Implementation" and "The Art of Code "The publication of these three books.
Here is what I shared yesterday:
Since 2021, 3 books have been published in cooperation with Bowen Viewpoint:
" Trillion-Level Traffic Forwarding: BFE Core Technology and Implementation "
" 201 Principles of Software Development (Chinese Translation) "
" The Art of Code " (see the background and original intention of "The Art of Code" for video introduction )
Regarding the importance of documentation, you can refer to the instructions in " The Art of Code Live Series (5): How to Write a Good Project Document ".
Inefficient communication and lack of project documentation are important reasons why China's software engineers 996 are exhausted and the output is still not high.
The written word remains an important means of conveying information and ideas. From the perspective of social development, the crowding out of text by short videos is a social regression.
All students who do technology should be vigilant: technology does not always promote progress for society. "Worship technology to teach" has a long history. If there is no humanistic quality, technology can easily cause damage and disaster to society.
Text-based communication is a basic human ability. In my opinion, technical writing does not depend on talent (which is completely different from writing in the arts), and the ability to write technically can be learned and practiced.
Many articles have been published on the topic of documentation and reading before, interested students can check:

Thank you for your attention to "Mr. Zhang Said".
