Idea is divided into community version and flagship version. The community version is free, but many functions in it are not applicable, so here I still recommend everyone to apply for the idea student free version.
Let's introduce how to use IDEA Ultimate Edition (students, teachers) for free.
1. Online verification report for student status application
Enter Xuexin website: https://account.chsi.com.cn/passport/login
After successfully logging in, enter the page, click Apply
, and click "View" in the "Online Verification Report of Student Status of the Ministry of Education" column.
Click Apply
to enter the next page and continue to click Apply, because I have applied before, so there is no picture here.
After entering the following page, there is an online verification code.
Copy and paste the online verification code into Notepad, which will be used later, and click "View" after saving.
My student status information will appear, as shown in the figure below. Click to download the PDF, copy and save the URL of this page in Notepad for later use.
2. Conduct student certification
First, go to the idea official website, click on education on it, and select applicable to students and teachers under the free license.
Scroll down and find the four big characters Apply Now.
Select the official document, then some personal information, and the online verification code that was copied and saved just now.
- The official document is the PDF file you just downloaded, just find and add it. Enter the URL you just saved below the blue rectangle. Xuexin.com report online verification code is the online verification code saved when applying for the report just now. Comments can be left blank. After checking, click "Apply for Free Products".
The following interface appears, indicating that the request has been submitted successfully, and an email will be sent within a week (the email address you filled in).
3. Apply for an Idea account
JetBrains will send you an email after the official review is successful, as shown in the figure below, click "link your free license".
Click I Accept
In the red rectangle box, register a JetBrains account, and enter your email address in the blue rectangle box.
Enter your relevant information, check I accept this agreement, and click "Submit".
After the words below appear, click on "Licenses".
If you have a license like the one shown below, it means you can use IDEA for free. The red rectangle is your license ID number, and the yellow rectangle is the development tool you can use for free.
After the above steps are completed, you will receive an official email from JetBrains.
We are using IDEA for the first time, and the IDEA interface is in English. If you want to display Chinese, you can enter the JetBrains official website to download it by clicking the "Simplified Chinese Plug-in" in the red rectangle box above. When applying for a free license, the most time-consuming part is waiting for the official JetBrains email after the student is certified. During this period, it may be very fast or you may have to wait 2-3 days or longer. The process of applying for free use of IDEA is not complicated. This free license is only valid until graduation, and you will still have to pay after graduation. Compared with the previous Eclipse, IDEA has certain advantages in performance and appearance, and the operation is more flexible.
