The Ubuntu system is getting better and better. Since CentOS no longer provides maintenance, more and more enterprises and companies have switched from CentOS to Ubuntu server system. After switching, they found that it is much easier to use than CentOS. It is very convenient to install anything, and it will not have a series of problems during the installation process like CentOS.
Today, we will focus on how to install a graphical interface on Ubuntu 22 Server Edition. Some friends may ask "Why does the server version need to install a graphical interface?" In fact, many tools only provide operations with a graphical interface. After installing the graphical interface, it is more intuitive for operation.

Friends who know it can skip this section and go directly to the [Operating Steps]. Here, I will introduce to those who don’t know what is a graphical interface.
The graphical interface is actually the same as the Windows system. It provides you with a visual operation interface instead of a pure command line, so that people who do not know much about the server can also operate the tools on it for maintenance.
2. Operation steps
1. Update installation tool
sudo apt-get update
If you see the following output, it means that the update is in progress. When you see "Reading package lists... Done", it means that the execution has been completed.
2. Start the installation
Execute the following command to start the installation:
sudo apt-get install ubuntu-desktop
这个安装过程大约需要20分钟左右的时间,请耐心等待其安装完成
The installation is completed as shown in the figure below, and it may not necessarily be the same as the figure below. As long as no error is reported, the installation is normal:
3. Restart
Execute the following command to restart and enter the graphical interface
sudo reboot
After restarting, you can see the graphical login interface, as follows:
