1 background
Our bank's multiple business systems (such as counter business, payment business, front-end service, etc.) application server clusters have file access requirements for shared directories between application nodes. In the early construction of the system, IBM's GPFS technology was relatively mature and The extensive practice in the same industry has given good feedback. At the same time, GPFS has a relatively good adaptability to the AIX system. Therefore, our bank has adopted a GPFS parallel file system based on the AIX high-availability architecture for the payment business, and adopted virtualization technology for the counter business. Build a GPFS parallel file system to meet the file sharing requirements of application clusters.
GPFS has been deployed in the bank for many years to effectively support application operation and related business development. However, due to the implementation of LINUX replacement work in our bank, the particularity of deploying GPFS in a virtualized environment, and the relative complexity of GPFS maintenance and management. Therefore, Huawei OceanStor Dorado 18000 series SAN/NAS integrated active-active high-end storage was put into production through the relocation of data centers in the industry, and at the same time started the work of replacing GPFS with NAS professional storage equipment.
