The boundary of the VR game space in Vision Pro is a 3×3 meter circle

Qingting.com reported on June 25 that we have previously reported that Apple's visionOS has three application types: FullSpaces, Windows, and Volume. Among them, FullSpaces is a type that only displays one application, and the latter two are shared spaces that can display multiple windows and multiple applications.

In FullSpaces mode, an Apple document shows that visionOS creates a circular virtual perimeter with a diameter of 3 meters. That is, when you move 1.5 meters to the outside world with your head as the center, the system will stop running and the "see-through mode" will be turned on.

This mode of operation is very similar to the current VR all-in-one machine. What has not yet been determined is whether visionOS will directly enable the virtual boundary by default, assuming that the room area is large enough, it will directly default to 3×3 meters.

However, in the current VR all-in-one machine, it is necessary to manually set the playable range, which is one more step.

The difference reflected here is still the "simplification principle". Apple hopes to let players get started and use it smoothly through the suggested settings. Of course, Apple Vision Pro also integrates two sets of depth perception systems, one set of LiDAR and one set of TrueDepth, which can achieve better environmental perception capabilities, which is also very helpful for environmental understanding and MR scenes. The picture above is the Vision Pro room scanning Mesh , you can see the Mesh map of the entire room, which is very intuitive.
