1.1 Office installation and activation
Search for office tool plus installation and activation by yourself: versions above 2016 will do
When copying the mathtype file below 2016, the corresponding version is sufficient.

2. Start the import
2.1 Find the word startup location (including the method of locating the real installation location of the software)
my location isC:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\root\Office16\STARTUP
If you can't find it, use the following method:
- Find word in the search, and then open the file location. Note that this is only the location where the start menu starts . Then you just need to repeat the same trick: continue to open the file location, and then jump to its real location. (This method can also be used when finding the real installation location of the software)
- Find the STARTUP folder in the current directory, which is the real startup location of word. (There are many files, if you find it troublesome to search, search for STARTUP in the upper right corner)
- After opening, click on the upper address bar to copy the address of the startup location. (There is no file here, it needs to be added manually later)
The next step is an optional operation. After the test, it doesn’t matter whether there is this startup item or not.
After the operation as shown in the figure below, replace the address of the default startup location with the real startup address copied above (pure obsessive-compulsive disorder can’t see a misleading thing here, and it doesn’t affect anything if it’s not replaced. Of course, if this false location If you put some add-ons in it, you will be uncomfortable, because add-ons should be placed in the real startup items).
2.2 Add the add-in in mathtype to word

Find the installation address of your mathtype (if you can’t find it, see how to find the word address above, repeat the same trick), then open Office Support , then open 64 , and copy the two files selected in the figure below to wordstart uplocation to go. (Hey, this is the 2 files I said earlier that need to be added manually later)
After opening STARTUP, this is calledstart upLocation, MathType Commands 2016.dotm and MathType Commands 2016.dotm are placed here

2.3 Word management templates add add-ins in the startup location

The word function is normal (including the successfully imported mathtype plug-in), and the restart is also normal . (Maybe it’s because I installed and activated office tool plus? It might also be because this is the 2019 version. Anyway, this startup location is not the startup location of my word. I’ve tested it many times, so I dare to delete it.)
But looking at the description, it is indeed the official version of Office, and I always feel that something is missing, so I found my startup location and added it.
