In order to study and implement the important instructions on accelerating the development of the digital economy, promoting the deep integration of the digital economy and the real economy in the work report of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, and continuously promoting digital transformation and financial technology innovation, Guilin Bank cooperated with the Guangxi Division Group of the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest The Committee and the Guangxi Center for Applied Mathematics (Guangxi University) will co-host the 2023 "Bank of Guilin Cup" Data Modeling Contest and the National Undergraduate Mathematical Modeling Contest in Guangxi.

The purpose of this competition is to move closer to the subject professional competition, encourage college students to develop into innovative, application-oriented, and compound talents, better enhance college students' innovation awareness and financial technology capabilities, and provide a broader play for data analysis and modeling talents. The platform provides new momentum for the construction of Digital China and Digital Guangxi.

Track description:

Track A : Customer identification for personal consumption loan applications. This track is open to college students with a bachelor's degree or below.

Track B : Analysis of credit card consumption behavior of Generation Z. This track is open to college students with a graduate degree or above.

Schedule:

(1) Registration (April 19, 10:00-May 15, 10:00)

(2) Preliminary round (10:00, May 6th to 10:00, May 15th)

(3) Preliminary round (10:00, May 16-10:00, May 22)

(4) Preliminary review (May 23-June 5)

Schedule Details:

(1) Registration (April 19, 10:00-May 15, 10:00)

Within the registration time limit, contestants are requested to visit the competition platform (https://challenge.datacastle.cn/v3/cmptDetail.html?id=766) on the computer and follow the steps below to complete the registration:

1. Platform registration.

2. Sign up for the competition.

3. Create, merge or join teams.

4. Submit identity review materials in the form of a team before 10:00 on May 15.

(2) Preliminary round (10:00, May 6th to 10:00, May 15th)

Within the time limit for the preliminaries, the participating teams are required to complete the data modeling requirements for the preliminaries, and submit the test results and relevant materials as required.

1. Log in to the platform to obtain the preliminaries and data query methods.

2. Debug the algorithm and submit the results. Each team submits the results no more than 5 times a day.

3. The background will announce the real-time ranking based on the submitted results, and the top 50% teams in the preliminary round can advance to the preliminary round.

4. The qualifying team needs to sort out and submit the preliminaries code and related documents to the designated directory before 10:00 on May 15.

(3) Preliminary round (10:00, May 16-10:00, May 22)

Within the time limit of the preliminary competition, complete and submit the thesis according to the requirements of the preliminary competition questions.

1. The teams that advance to the preliminary round write the papers for the preliminary round.

2. The teams that advance to the preliminary round shall submit the source code and modeling papers of the preliminary round to the designated email address ([email protected]) before 10:00 on May 22.

(4) Preliminary review (May 23-June 5)

The judges of the organizer will score the modeling papers of the teams in the preliminary round, and select the final team based on the repetition of the source code of the team's preliminaries model.

(5) Finals (to be held after June 5)

1. The organizer of the competition will announce the list of teams that have advanced to the finals before June 5.

2. The organizer of the competition will announce the specific time and necessary preparations for the final at an appropriate time.

3. The team that advances to the final prepares relevant materials and procedures in accordance with the requirements of the final.

4. The final will be held in the form of online or offline defense, and the judges will ask professional questions about the contestants' preliminaries and preliminary rounds.

5. If the final team has travel expenses during the final stage, the organizer of the competition will reimburse them according to the standard.

(6) Popularity voting (April 19-June 5)

The organizer of the competition will set up a popular voting activity in the WeChat official account of "Bank of Guilin Financial Services". Contestants can forward and share the voting page during the activity, and invite the audience to help their teams. Both the popular teams and the audience can get certain rewards. Grading:

Grading instructions : In the scoring process, the scientific nature, advanced nature, practical significance and practical value of the works are used as the basic evaluation criteria, and the differences in the knowledge level and scientific research ability of the contestants at different educational levels in this track are comprehensively considered. The works submitted by all qualified teams before the deadline of each part of the competition will be scored. The organizer of the competition will not give any grades to any entries submitted after the deadline. At the same time, the organizer will not be responsible for any damage, loss, delay in submission and other consequences caused by computer, Internet, and mobile network failures.

(1) Evaluation of preliminaries

Before the end of the preliminaries, the last model submitted by the participating teams will be run on the test set to obtain the preliminaries ranking. The maximum number of successful submissions per team per day is 5 times.

Scoring result calculation formula: 0.3*AUC+0.7*F1-score

Calculation formula for preliminary results: (1000-preliminary ranking)/10

(2) Evaluation of preliminary results

The top 50% of the teams in the preliminaries will enter the preliminary rounds. The preliminary competition is conducted in the form of writing a modeling paper, and the content of the modeling paper should include: the modeling part of the preliminary competition and the modeling part of the preliminary competition.

Calculation formula for preliminary results: preliminary result = 60%*preliminary result + 40%*modeling thesis score.

(3) Evaluation of final results

1. Number of teams entering the finals: The top 3 teams with preliminary results in each track can enter the finals.

2. Evaluation of the final results: The final will adopt the form of defense to examine the modeling thinking and modeling ability of the contestants.

(4) Final score evaluation

Final score = 60%*preliminary score + 40%*final score

(5) Popularity Ranking Evaluation

The top 5 teams in the popular voting for each track will receive the Popularity Award.

Entry rules:

(1) Participants

Students from colleges and universities across the country will form teams to participate in the competition.

(2) Participating teams

1. Contestants need to fill in basic information such as school, grade, major, mobile phone number, name, and ID number to register for the competition. After successful registration, a team can be formed. See the entry process for details.

2. The participating teams are composed of 2-3 people, each team has at least 2 members, and the age of the participants is not limited.

3. The same school can have multiple participating teams. Students from different schools can join together to participate in the competition. Each participant is only allowed to join one participating team.

4. Relevant personnel involved in the planning, organization, technical services and scoring of the competition and their immediate family members are not allowed to participate in the competition.

5. The competition team shall provide necessary information such as student ID information, ID card, mobile phone number, bank account information and other necessary information of all team members that match the registration information as required. Participants must ensure the authenticity of their information. The competition organizing committee promises that personal information will only be used for event data authorization, bonus and award distribution, and all personal information and privacy content will be kept confidential.

6. If a contestant fails to submit relevant entry materials and personal information as required within the specified time, which affects the subsequent competition, the participating team will be disqualified from participating or advancing, and the qualification will be postponed.
