Completely delete idle virtual machines in Virtual Box

Prelude

On a whim today, I want to clean up some useless files, such as the virtual machine from the previous job. But I suddenly forgot how to delete it, which is like forgetting words with a pen. After seeking a solution from the boss, he began to hate his elm head. So for this article, record the solution to prevent similar incidents in the future.

The first step is to open our Virtual Box virtual machine and view the idle virtual machines, as shown in the figure below.

Turn on the virtual machine

In the second step, select the virtual machine you want to delete, right-click, and click the delete button.

click delete

The third step, after this interface appears, look at your personal situation. If you just want to delete the virtual machine, select "just remove", if you want to delete all files, including the virtual machine, select "delete all files".

select delete

Finally, you can see that the target virtual machine has been deleted!

The target virtual machine and its internal files have been deleted

Note: This is slightly different from VMware virtual machine deletion. If it is a VM virtual machine, if you want to delete all resources in the virtual machine, you cannot directly select "Remove", but you should select "Management", and then select "From Delete from Disk". Here the author confuses the deletion operations of the two virtual machines.

Is it very simple? But sometimes it's mental retardation like this that slows down our projects. In order to record the problem solved, this article is pretended.
