Li Hui, chairman of Shanghai Fengyuzhu Cultural Technology Co., Ltd., was awarded the 4th Top Ten Innovative Figures of Shanghai Cultural Enterprises. Li Hui graduated from the Department of Architecture of Tongji University in 1993 and is the founder and chairman of Shanghai Fengyuzhu Culture Technology Co., Ltd. In 2021, Li Hui and Feng Yuzhu can be said to be fruitful. As the chief designer, he led the team to complete national-level cultural projects such as the China Pavilion of the Dubai World Expo and the Chinese Communist Party History Exhibition Hall; as the leader of the digital exhibition, he led the team to complete the exhibition of the theme exhibition of the 2021 Shanghai Urban Space Art Season.
In terms of innovation and creativity, in 2021, based on the concept of promoting cross-border cooperation between domestic architects and artists, Li Hui launched the "Fang Yukong Annual Exhibition Gallery Plan" and supported the establishment of the art label "Lightning Institute". Recently, Fengyuzhu and Beijing Baidu Netcom Technology Co., Ltd. jointly hosted the "Baidu Xiran Metaverse Ecological Forum" in Nanchang, inviting ecological partners from all walks of life to discuss how to strengthen the communication and exchange of the metaverse industrial ecology and promote the metaverse. The healthy, orderly and inclusive development of the universe industrial ecology, explore the development path of the metaverse, and share exploration experience and practice from different perspectives.
China Business News: It is the third time that Feng Yuzhu has been on the podium for winning the title of Top Ten Innovative Figures of Shanghai Cultural Enterprises. What new feelings do you have?
Li Hui: Whether it is a company or an individual, it is very honorable to be recognized. Doing projects all over the country can become a brand representing Shanghai, and we can get the recommendation of the government when we go out of Shanghai, so we are very confident when doing business.
We also believe that so many companies shortlisted with us are some cultural brands representing Shanghai. The Propaganda Department of the Municipal Party Committee has been promoting these years, and we have also actively participated in recommending Shanghai enterprises and Shanghai brands to the whole society and the whole country, which is very meaningful. For me personally, it is also an incentive to make us want to do better in innovation.
China Business News: Fengyuzhu has plans in terms of digital technology and many innovative fields. What plans do you have in the near future?
Li Hui: Fengyuzhu is engaged in the production and production of digital content, and we are relatively leading in the innovative application of technology. When it comes to innovation, we must talk about metaverse, which is a word that innovative companies cannot avoid today. In recent years, we have been exploring in this field. We believe that the metaverse is an innovative field of the digital economy, especially the most abundant application scenarios.
Shanghai has proposed "four new tracks" this year, namely metaverse, green and low-carbon, smart terminals, and digital economy. As a new track, and the government predicts that the industrial scale will exceed 350 billion yuan by 2025, we are also actively planning.
Fengyuzhu cooperates with the Shanghai Economic and Information Commission and other departments, and I am also one of the 39 expert members of the Shanghai Metaverse Industry Development Expert Committee. I personally and the company are willing to contribute more.
When it comes to innovation, Metaverse is "very good"! We hope to lead the culture of Shanghai in the field of metaverse, and become the cultural power of the city through technology. We have seen that in many fields such as film and television, other companies are also working hard. We are also willing to invest more in research and development to promote application and drive the progress of cultural technology in this field.
China Business News: Fengyuzhu has been very strong in the exhibition and display industry for many years. You are closely related to urban development. Now Shanghai has a lot of innovations in urban renewal. The city has become an important scene. What are the prospects for development?
Li Hui: Our previous main business was to be exhibition halls in various cities, so many cities are our customers. In addition to the traditional offline physical space, urban development now also requires a sense of the future and a meta-universe layout, including planning, design, and exhibition of urban renewal.
Based on the resources and capabilities we have accumulated offline before, and the experience in doing so many urban projects, we basically have layouts in all provinces in China. Now various places are also facing an upgrade and transformation. We have recently contacted many local governments, especially some developed regions. They are willing to enter the Metaverse, integrate the real world with the virtual world, and propose how to make better use of the Metaverse platform Some development innovations.
I believe that these two things, the city and the metaverse, can be connected, and urban renewal and the development of the metaverse can be integrated together. This is where we play best.
China Business News: Shanghai has made frequent efforts to innovate cultural industry policies. As an innovative enterprise based in Shanghai, how do you hope to respond to policies, release internal driving forces, and make contributions to this city?
Li Hui: I think Shanghai is relatively ahead in terms of industrial policy. For example, Shanghai was the first to propose the policy of the four new tracks I mentioned earlier.
The city's thinking is more forward-looking, and the policy is more advanced, and we must actively respond to it. For us as a business, a good policy environment, ahead of many cities, creates development opportunities for us. We hope to become a benchmark, and we are also willing to be the leading company of concept stocks. With this label, we hope to promote the development of the National Metaverse.
