Wang He, Assistant Professor, Zhiyuan Scholar, Peking University

Dr. He Wang is an assistant professor and doctoral supervisor at Center for Frontier Computing Studies (CFCS), Peking University. He founded and led the Embodied Perception and Interaction Lab of Peking University (Homepage: https://hughw19.github.io). Based on 3D visual perception and robotics, the laboratory focuses on the perception and interaction of embodied robots in 3D complex environments. The research goal is to develop a highly generalizable robot vision and control system in a scalable manner. Research results cover object grasping, functional manipulation, dexterous operation, and object-finding navigation. More than 40 papers have been published in CVPR/ICCV/ECCV/TRO/RAL/ICRA/IROS/ICLR/NeurIPS/AAAI, and won the Outstanding Award of the World Artificial Intelligence Conference Youth Paper Award, ICRA2023 Outstanding Manipulation Paper finalist, Eurographics 2019 Best Paper Nomination, ICLR 2021 Generalizable Robotic Object Manipulation Challenge ManiSkill No Additional Marking Track Champion. He has served as the field chairman of CVPR2022 and WACV2022, the associate editor of Image and Vision Computing, and the reviewer and program committee member of many top conferences. Before joining Peking University, he received his Ph.D. from Stanford University in 2021 under the tutelage of Professor Leonidas.
