【Windows】Virtual serial port tool VSPD6.9 installation
1. Background

The version installed on this blog is VSPD6.9, and a download link is left at the end of the article for study and research.
The virtual serial port tool is generally used to debug the serial port communication of the upper computer software, and simulate the communication process of the real physical serial port through the virtual serial port.
2. Installation
Unzip the VSPD6.9.rar compressed package, and run the vspd.exe executable file to install it.
The installation process is recorded as follows. You can also refer to the VSPD installation package to design your own program installation package.

remove this check, and then click "Finish".
3. Patch
The vspdctl.dll in the patch folder under the VSPD6.9.rar compressed package is the patch.
Copy the vspdctl.dll file to the installation directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Eltima Software\Virtual Serial Port Driver 6.9 directory.
Alternatively, you can directly run vspdconfig.exe under the patch folder. It is recommended to create a desktop shortcut for it to be used conveniently.
4. Verification
Open vspdconfig.exe to create a virtual serial port pair.
For example, create COM6 and COM7, as shown in the figure below:
After the creation is completed, the serial port number will be displayed under Virtual ports on the left side of the software, as shown in the figure below:
and the created virtual serial port COM6/COM7 can be viewed in the device manager, as shown in the figure below:
