I have loved singing since I was a child. Every time I heard a good song, I would hum along and imitate the singer's voice and expression. I dream that one day I can stand on the stage, touch the audience with my singing, and let them applaud me.
My chance finally came. This year the school held a campus singer contest, and I signed up without hesitation. I chose one of my favorite songs "You Are My Eye", which is a very emotional song about a blind man's gratitude and dependence on his lover. I think this song is very suitable for me, because I am also a person with poor eyesight. Although I am not completely blind, I still need to wear thick glasses to see clearly.
I have prepared for this competition for a long time. I practice singing at home every day, adjusting my breathing and intonation, and I also hired a teacher to teach me how to interpret this song with emotion. I also bought a new dress on purpose, trying to give myself a new image.
