Oracle11g DG combat configuration (Windows version) (four) standby database installation

4.1 Standby database information

Database version: 11.2.0.4.0
Database IP: 192.168.1.55
Oracle_Home: D:\Oracle
Special attention: Do not create a database instance during standby database installation

4.2 Standby database installation

Notes before installation:

1) The configuration of the main and standby database servers should be as consistent as possible

2) The installation paths of the database software of the main and standby databases should be as consistent as possible

3) The main and standby database servers should be in a high-speed network environment as much as possible (high-speed local area network is best, and the production environment recommends 1GB bandwidth and above)

4) The I/O efficiency of the hard disks of the main and standby database servers should be improved as much as possible, otherwise the synchronization efficiency will be affected.

installation steps:

11g R2 11.2.0.4 version is adopted, and the database version is relatively old (I am also very helpless about problems left over from history~~forgive me!)

Note here, be sure to select "Only install database software"

Use the components installed by default

It is strongly recommended that the installation path of the standby database be the same as that of the main database. If not, path conversion will be required during synchronization later, and path conversion will also be required for subsequent RMAN recovery. Therefore, it must be noted that the installation location of the primary and standby databases should be ensured as much as possible when installing the database. unanimous

At this time, after the installation is complete, the database is not configured to monitor, and cannot be connected and logged in.

The installation of the standby database is very simple. Don’t worry if you can’t connect and log in now. Later, we will add missing things to the standby database through DG.

Due to the consideration of completeness of thinking, DG configuration will open a new chapter, sorry, this chapter does not have much substantive content.
