Java programmers are easily misunderstood? Let me talk about three common situations

Let me talk about my personal situation first. I came to Shenzhen in 21 years, and now I have been working for two years. I said that programmers are a profession that is easily misunderstood. Perhaps in most people's minds, programmers are a group of dull people who wear plaid shirts and thick glasses. In fact, this impression may be in line with the previous era - the impression of programmers. But in fact, I am currently around, including all the friends I know who are in this industry. I haven’t found a few of them that are among the characteristics described above. How should I say it? At least for now, I feel that this line is really good.

Many people say that programmers are tired and work overtime frequently, but it is actually not that serious. Most companies, for now, don't work that long. Let’s take our company as an example. Work officially starts at 9:30, and we get off work at around 8:00 in the evening. Occasionally I will work overtime to catch up with the project. I personally do not reject working overtime to catch up with the project, I can accept it. And it's actually not that often the case.

Many people still say that the price-performance ratio of Chengquan is not high, but in fact it is not always the case. If you really work hard, you can't fight most of the professions. Let’s take my current salary as an example. Well, my annual salary has just passed 20 after the increase this year. Based on my daily rhythm of 9:00 to 8:00, I think I should have won most careers (except for the financial industry). Of course, you also need to understand that any industry has its head and bottom.

The bottleneck of programmers generally occurs at the node with a monthly salary of 25K. This node is often the watershed that divides excellent programmers from ordinary programmers. In this era of information explosion, the distance between people is getting closer and closer, and life and consumption have been gradually decoupled, especially in first-tier and second-tier cities. For example, especially in first-tier and second-tier cities, people in different cities and places have closer and closer consumption levels for life and entertainment. In particular, the emergence of various chain stores has intensified the equalization of consumption. Different incomes can enjoy the same material needs, so income is really important.

This has actually led to the fact that "slowly 211 and 985 will become the bottom line of recruitment" in the programmer industry (you can believe it, now the first-tier companies have already done so). I mean that the entire industry may slowly transition in this direction.

Personally, I have always felt that a good company, good direction, and enough hard work can lead to success. You see, look at how high the starting salary is for graduate students recruited by major companies in the direction of autonomous driving. The basic monthly salary is around 35K, which is the first year he just graduated. Pessimistically speaking, it may be from graduation to 35 years old, and you will be fired at 35 years old. Assuming that it takes 10 years, it is estimated that the income is enough to support the elderly. You have to see the high growth of this industry. He was 35K when he entered the industry, but it will definitely be more than 35K 10 years later.

Let me talk about the three situations of programmers.

The first type: the absolute combat effectiveness of big factories. Whether it's technology or management, these people earn a lot of money and have already gained a firm foothold in first-tier cities. Whether these people buy a house or not, it will not affect the quality of life. Buying a house may be due to different life philosophies, we don’t know and we dare not ask.

The second type: After completing the financial accumulation, you may get the first pot of gold and the second pot of gold in your life, and escape from Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. This kind of cross-border does not mean from Beijing to third- and fourth-tier cities, but from Beijing to Xi’an, from Shenzhen to Chengdu. Programmers (more or less) who jump from the first-tier to the second-tier will have a certain salary. decline, but he will face better house prices. I've always believed that if you can secure a mortgage under 40% of your personal income, you'll be fine living anywhere. At present, there are 3 friends and colleagues around me who have completed this kind of urban change. Overall, the quality of life is good, and they can all have a high-quality life.

The third type: If you are like me, an ordinary young man in a small town, it can be said to be the best solution, because the problem of housing prices is in front of you. I am considered an average programmer, with an annual income of about 200,000. This profession can really quickly allow you to complete the accumulation of the first pot of gold in your life. I re-educated for a year and started working at the age of 24. It has been two years since I have my first savings, and I will definitely break 20 by the end of this year.

Java programmer is a relatively popular profession, which occupies a large proportion in the IT industry. In this industry, a monthly salary of around 20k is considered a relatively common salary level. Of course, in first-tier cities and some second-tier cities, this salary level may be slightly lower. However, if you can work in a good company, in a good direction, and put in enough effort, chances are your salary will keep going up over time.

In addition, if you want to get a higher salary level in this industry, then you need to master more skills and knowledge, and constantly improve your ability. For example, you can learn some cutting-edge technologies, such as cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence and so on. In addition, you can also improve your professional skills by participating in some industry training courses, certification exams, etc., which can help you to be more handy in the workplace.

Of course, in addition to skills and knowledge, managing personal finances is also very important. If you can reasonably control your expenses and manage your financial management well, even a monthly salary of only 20k is enough for you to live a good life in most cities. Therefore, as a Java programmer, as long as you can continuously improve your professional ability and manage your personal finances, I believe your salary level will continue to rise over time.
