JetBrains' China business has landed in Shanghai, and the new price in the country is higher

JetBrains announced on its official blog that the business in mainland China will land in JetBrains Shanghai, and a new RMB price list and procurement strategy will be adopted at that time. This change will be implemented in early September.

The migration to the Shanghai company mainly focuses on the following changes:

  • From September 4, 2023, JetBrains Shanghai will be responsible for the direct sales of all its products in mainland China, and will be able to issue value-added tax invoices for direct procurement customers in mainland China.
  • Stable prices in China can be provided for all products, and product pricing will be converted from USD excluding tax prices to RMB prices including VAT .
  • JetBrains' online store will support local payment methods in mainland China, such as Alipay, WeChat Pay, etc. Additionally, domestic wire transfers are available for business customers.

Country price list

These changes will apply to all mainland China customers who purchase directly from JetBrains, and customers who purchase through JetBrains partners will not be affected. Note: All customers who purchase through JetBrains' online store and JetBrains Account platform are direct purchase customers.

This means that from the effective date of RMB pricing, the unit price of products on the JetBrains official website, online store, and JetBrains Account platform applicable to mainland China will be displayed in new RMB prices, and orders and quotations operated by customers in mainland China through these platforms will be issued by JetBrains Shanghai company handles. The official US dollar quotations obtained by customers in mainland China before the effective date will all be invalid, and they need to obtain new official RMB quotations through JetBrains Shanghai Company.

In addition, from the effective date of RMB pricing, the automatic renewal option will be temporarily unavailable.
