On the afternoon of May 28th, friends from the open source community gathered in a tea room in Shanghai, organized the first offline meeting of KCC@Shanghai, and formally established KCC@Shanghai.

KCC (KAIYUANSHE City Community) was initiated by Mr. Zhuang Biaowei, the director and CEO of Kaiyuanshe, aiming to let the open source community take root in every city, and Shanghai is of course no exception. The first offline meeting of KCC@Shanghai was organized by Chen Xuan, an official member of Kaiyuanshe, and co-organized by Chao Qian (ah Q), Zhu Qingyu.Corrie, teacher Zhuang Biaowei and others of Kaiyuanshe.

At the establishment ceremony of KCC@Shanghai, Chen Xuan shared his thoughts on KCC: After experiencing the baptism during the epidemic, everyone realized the importance of meeting. For an offline organization, "meeting" itself is meaningful , which is also the basis of KCC activities. At the same time, at the KCC event, meeting new people and interesting people is also one of the best ways for Kaiyuan Society to meet new friends and recruit new people. In the end, Chen Xuan believed that the activities of KCC Shanghai could be close to life.

The second part of the meeting was delivered by Mr. Zhuang Biaowei. Mr. Zhuang first affirmed the idea of organizing and encouraged KCC activities in various places to have different characteristics. At the same time, he also encouraged KCC organizers in various places to actively design new forms of activities. About KCC To develop, you must first have your own ideas!

Based on this, everyone discussed the follow-up development of KCC and the form of activities. Chen Xuan first shared his thoughts. Recently, colleges and universities in Shanghai have opened their campuses, and KCC activities can enter the campus in the form of book clubs. KCC activities can also advocate healthy living and organize some sports, such as badminton, Frisbee, or running. The suggestions put forward by Chen Xuan are very close to life. Mr. Lin Lvqiang.Richard combined his own experience in running a community, and proposed that a community should have the effect of "1+1>2", and think about what the community can bring to the participants. Others Why take the time to engage in such an event. Our thinking in this area is indeed insufficient, and it is a question that KCC will answer in the future. Chen Xuan very much agreed with Mr. Richard's statement, and kindly recalled the past when he became acquainted with open source in 2014. Please look forward to the future activities of KCC@Shanghai!

The next item on the agenda of the event is the exchange of KCCs in Shanghai and Nanjing. Today, two KCC@Nanjing partners came to the KCC@Shanghai event. KCC@Nanjing is the first KCC community to be established. During the communication with KCC@Nanjing partners, we discussed how KCC should achieve the goals of the activities held. Consensus, no matter what kind of voting process or activity form, everyone needs to vote with their feet, and they are really willing to participate in the activity. At the same time, everyone also exchanged their own views on open source. Some people think that open source is an enlightened attitude, "output" and "sharing", while others think that open source is an open and collaborative organizational form. Viewed horizontally as a ridge and as a side as a peak, open source may be both. In short, I am very grateful to the two partners who braved such hot weather to come to Shanghai to participate in the event!

With the support of so many small partners, KCC @ Shanghai will definitely get better and better in the future!
