PR Video Editing Tutorial--Video Effects and Transitions

  • If it is the first time to contact PR software, you can refer to my entry-level tutorial
  • This tutorial introduces several commonly used video effects and transitions

video effects

Special effect one: play mosaic

  • This requires the use of the Gaussian blur function

Gaussian blur

  • Choose Effects, Video Effects, Blur & Sharpen, Gaussian Blur. Drag it to the video track to be blurred, and then in the Gaussian blur of the effect control, select a circle or pen to circle the image we want to blur. For example, here we want to make a mosaic for the county magistrate, no, Zhang Mazi's face, so we will circle Zhang Mazi's face.

  • But because the video is moving, if Zhang Mazi's face moves, the mosaic cannot cover it. Here are two ways to make the mosaic track the face.

manual tracking

  • We dragged the progress bar back, and we could see Zhang Mazi's face appeared again. Drag the progress bar to the front and select the mask path.

  • Drag the progress bar again
    insert image description here
  • If the face comes out, move this round frame up to cover the face

automatic tracking

insert image description here

  • We select the mask path and directly select the forward button to automatically track the face
    insert image description here
  • If you feel that the tracking is not good, you can choose these two, go forward or back one frame to fine-tune
    insert image description here
  • The efficiency of manual tracking is relatively slow, while the efficiency of automatic tracking is higher

Effect 2: Turn the video into black and white

  • This operation is very simple, but very practical.
  • We choose effects, video effects, image control, black and white, and drag them directly to the video track. The video becomes black and white.

Special Effect 3: Replace Content

  • For example, we can replace the content played on TV
  • We need to prepare two ends of the material, one is the movie material, put it on the V2 track, and the other is the TV background material, put it on the V1 track
    insert image description here
  • Select boundary positioning and drag it to the track of the movie material
    insert image description here
  • Click this border to locate, and you can see four circles appear in the four corners of the movie video material
    insert image description here
  • Drag the circle to adjust and place it on the TV screen
    insert image description here
    insert image description here
  • Play it, and the movie screen will be put on the TV.
    insert image description here
  • It is best to keep the TV still. If the TV is moving, you need to manually track the path
  • We click the path tracing icon of the clock, and then adjust the corner position frame by frame

Special effect 4: big head special effect

  • Select Spherification, drag it to the video material track, and then in the effect control, we first select the center of the sphere, and then click to the center of the character's head
    insert image description here
  • Then adjust the radius, you can see that the head is enlarged
    insert image description here
  • If the character is moving, click the path tracking icon to manually adjust the center of the sphere frame by frame
    insert image description here
  • The big head effect will follow the movement of the characters

Transitions

  • Transitions are mainly used when splicing two videos
  • Here we only introduce the simplest transition operation, which is the transition effect that comes with PR
  • The transition effects are all in the video transition. We can choose one at random and drag it to the splicing position of the two videos. You can choose to cut in the center
    insert image description here
  • The transition effect that comes with PR feels very abrupt, like a PPT effect, if you want to make a cool transition effect, you still need to learn PR systematically
  • Here is an introduction to the transition effects that come with the effects in the PR.
  • The transitions in the immersive video are all okay, the cross-dissolve, superimposed dissolve, and black field transition effects in the dissolve are also good. You can try this yourself.
