initial preparation work

I received the three-month cloud server ECS1 core 2GB version for free from Alibaba Cloud. The free collection address: https://click.aliyun.com/m/1000371694/ .

Note: Remember to select WordPress as the pre-installed application during the trial.

Then enter our console, click on the remote link, and you need to enter a password when connecting. If you don’t remember the password, you can reset the password and log in again.

Then we can enter the command

cat /root/ReadMe

Get the WordPress admin password, and you can also remember the others first, this will be used to log in to the WordPress background later.

Security Group Configuration Rules

Then go back to our console, click on the security group, configure the rules

We need to release security group ports (80, 443, 21, 20000~30000), click to add manually

Then select 80 in the destination, select 0.0.0.0/0 in the source, and click Save. The same steps are used for other ports.

Access WordPress default website theme

After everything is released, we can access the default theme website of WordPress by accessing the public IP of the server through the browser, as follows:

Access WordPress website background

Then we visit the background of the website. The http://< 公网 IP >/wp-admindefault username is admin, and the password is the WordPress admin password I asked you to save above. After logging in, it will look like this.

DNS

If we have our own domain name, we can analyze this ip and bind the domain name. Here I will show you how to bind a domain name. First, go to the management background of domain name resolution and click haiyong.site.

The record type here is A by default, the host record, which is the prefix of the domain name. For example, I use blog here. Visit blog.haiyong.site to see the website we created

Basic site settings

Next, I will teach you how to optimize your blog. First, click Settings. In general, we can modify the site title, subtitle, WordPress address, site address (URL) and administrator email address.

The first article has been published. This link contains Chinese characters, which is not in line with our habits. Here we can modify it in the background settings-permanent link.

The menu can be edited in Appearance-Menu, and categories/pages/articles/custom links can all be placed in the menu.
